🚲 Quick Bicycle Tip: How to Add Air to Your Tires 🚲

Keeping your bike tires properly inflated makes riding safer, smoother, and more efficient!

✅ Step 1: Check the recommended tire pressure printed on the sidewall of your tire.

✅ Step 2: Remove the valve cap and identify your valve type (Presta or Schrader).

✅ Step 3: Attach your bike pump securely to the valve.

✅ Step 4: Pump air into the tire until it reaches the recommended PSI.

✅ Step 5: Remove the pump, tighten the valve if needed, and replace the valve cap.

🔍 Before every ride, give your tires a quick squeeze. Tires that feel soft can make pedaling harder and increase the risk of flats.

A few minutes of maintenance can help keep you rolling safely and comfortably all season long!

🚲 How to Change a Bicycle Tire 🔧

A flat tire can happen to anyone, but knowing how to change it can get you back on the road quickly and safely!

✅ Step 1: Shift to the smallest gear (rear tire) and remove the wheel.
✅ Step 2: Use tire levers to carefully remove one side of the tire from the rim.
✅ Step 3: Take out the damaged tube and inspect the tire for sharp objects.
✅ Step 4: Slightly inflate the new tube and place it inside the tire.
✅ Step 5: Work the tire back onto the rim, being careful not to pinch the tube.
✅ Step 6: Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure listed on the tire sidewall.
✅ Step 7: Reinstall the wheel and give it a quick spin to ensure everything is secure.

💡 Pro Tip: Carry a spare tube, tire levers, and a small pump whenever you ride. Being prepared can turn a major inconvenience into a quick roadside repair!

Knowing basic bike maintenance helps keep you riding safely and confidently.

🚲 Bicycle Maintenance Matters! 🔧

A well-maintained bicycle is a safer bicycle. Taking a few minutes each week to inspect your bike can help prevent breakdowns and reduce your risk of crashes.

✅ Check your tire pressure before every ride
✅ Make sure your brakes are working properly
✅ Lubricate your chain regularly
✅ Tighten loose bolts and components
✅ Inspect tires for wear, cracks, or embedded debris
✅ Ensure lights and reflectors are clean and functioning

Remember the simple ABC Quick Check:

🔹 C – Chain clean and lubricated

Regular maintenance keeps your bike running smoothly, extends its lifespan, and helps keep you safe on the road or trail.

Ride smart. Ride safe. Ride maintained. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

🚴‍♀️ We All Share the Road 🚗

Every time we travel—whether by bicycle, car, truck, or on foot—we all have a role in keeping our roads safe.

Cyclists deserve space, respect, and consideration. Drivers deserve predictable and responsible riders. When we work together, everyone gets where they’re going safely.

✔️ Give cyclists plenty of room when passing.
✔️ Check mirrors and blind spots before turning or opening vehicle doors.
✔️ Obey traffic laws and signals.
✔️ Be patient and courteous.
✔️ Stay alert and avoid distractions.
✔️ Remember that every cyclist is someone’s friend, family member, or neighbor.

A little patience can prevent a tragedy. A little kindness can make every trip safer.

Let’s build a community where everyone feels safe traveling our roads.

🚲 Share the road.
❤️ Respect each other.
🛣️ Arrive safely.

👀 Stay Alert. Stay Safe. 🚴

One of the most important skills a cyclist can have isn’t speed or endurance—it’s awareness.

Being alert while riding helps you spot potential hazards, react quickly, and make safer decisions on the road.

✔️ Keep your eyes up and scan ahead.
✔️ Watch for turning vehicles and opening car doors.
✔️ Avoid distractions like phones or headphones.
✔️ Be aware of pedestrians, road conditions, and other cyclists.
✔️ Anticipate what others might do—not just what they’re doing now.
✔️ Stay focused, especially at intersections and driveways.

A few seconds of distraction can lead to a lifetime of consequences. Staying alert helps protect you and everyone around you.

🚲 Ride focused.
🚲 Ride aware.
🚲 Ride safe.

The safest riders aren’t just visible—they’re paying attention.

💡 Be Seen. Be Safe. Ride Visible. 🚴‍♀️

One of the most important ways to stay safe on a bicycle is to make sure others can see you.

Whether you’re riding at dawn, dusk, night, or during the day, visibility can make the difference between a close call and a safe ride.

✔️ Wear bright or reflective clothing.
✔️ Use a white front light and a red rear light.
✔️ Add reflectors to your bike and helmet.
✔️ Avoid riding in drivers’ blind spots.
✔️ Make eye contact at intersections when possible.
✔️ Use hand signals to communicate your intentions.

Drivers aren’t always expecting to see cyclists, so taking steps to increase your visibility helps everyone share the road more safely.

🚲 Be bright.
🚲 Be predictable.
🚲 Be visible.

Every rider deserves to get home safely.

🚴‍♀️ Hand Signals Save Lives 🚴‍♂️

When you’re riding a bicycle, communication is key. Hand signals help drivers, pedestrians, and other cyclists understand your intentions, making the road safer for everyone.

👈 Left Turn: Extend your left arm straight out to the side.

👉 Right Turn: Extend your right arm straight out to the side.

✋ Stop: Extend your left arm downward with your palm facing behind you.

Using hand signals before every turn and stop can help prevent crashes and improve visibility on the road.

Remember:
✔️ Signal early.
✔️ Make eye contact when possible.
✔️ Keep both hands on the handlebars whenever it is safe to do so.
✔️ Stay alert and predictable.

A simple hand signal can make a big difference.

🚲 Signal your moves. Share the road. Ride safely.

🚴‍♂️ Know the Rules. Ride with Confidence. 🚴‍♀️

Bicycles are vehicles, and every rider has a responsibility to follow the rules of the road. Understanding and following bicycle laws helps keep everyone safe—cyclists, drivers, and pedestrians alike.

🔹 Ride in the same direction as traffic.
🔹 Obey all traffic signs and signals.
🔹 Use hand signals when turning or stopping.
🔹 Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
🔹 Ride predictably and stay alert.
🔹 Use lights and reflectors when riding at night.
🔹 Wear a properly fitted helmet every ride.

Safety isn’t just about protecting yourself—it’s about creating a safer community for everyone who shares the road.

🚲 Follow the rules.
🚲 Respect others.
🚲 Arrive safely.

Together, we can make every ride a safe ride.

🚴‍♀️ Your Helmet Is Your Most Important Piece of Safety Gear 🚴‍♂️

A bicycle helmet can reduce the risk of serious head injury, but only if it’s worn correctly.

✅ Position it level on your head—not tilted back.
✅ The front edge should sit about two finger-widths above your eyebrows.
✅ Adjust the side straps to form a “V” just below your ears.
✅ Buckle the chin strap snugly—allowing only one or two fingers between the strap and your chin.
✅ Replace your helmet after any crash or if it shows signs of damage.

A properly fitted helmet doesn’t just protect you—it can save your life.

Before every ride, take a few seconds to check your fit. Safety starts before your wheels start turning.

🪖 Wear it right. Every ride. Every time.
