As the residents of Gibson County watch a fascist being supported on the school board, our public schools being drained of resources to usher in Christian nationalism, and our roads crumbling beneath infrastructure that has a tax abatement, this is what the chosen distraction is.

I thought we were better than this.

I'm mad.

Are you?

In Indiana House District 64, Candy Greer is running on a simple but uncomfortable truth: people cannot pull themselves up by bootstraps that have already been cut, sold, and handed to someone else.

🚨 HOOSIERS... We need to pay attention to data center state laws.

Why are our cities and counties scrambling to protect us from massive data centers while our state government is giving those same companies enormous incentives to come here?

Harrison County: 1-year moratorium.
New Albany: 1-year moratorium.
Madison County: 6-month moratorium.
Boone County and many others are taking action too.

By early July, nearly one-third of Indiana counties had moved to restrict data-center development.

That is not happening by accident.

Local leaders are asking some pretty basic questions:

πŸ’§ How much water will these facilities use?
⚑ What will they do to our electric grid and utility bills?
πŸ—οΈ Who pays for the infrastructure they require?
🏠 What happens to nearby homeowners and farmland?
🌫️ What about noise, generators and pollution?

Meanwhile, Indiana has created huge tax incentives for qualifying data centers β€” including exemptions on equipment and electricity that can last 25 years, and in some cases up to 50 years.

FIFTY YEARS.

I use AI. I use technology. I am not against progress.

I am against giving billion-dollar corporations the red carpet while Hoosier communities are left trying to figure out how to protect themselves.

If I am elected to the Indiana State House, I will fight to:

βœ… Protect families from subsidizing massive corporate electric demand.
βœ… Require transparency about water and electricity use BEFORE approval.
βœ… Protect local control and zoning authority.
βœ… Require strong noise, pollution and environmental safeguards.
βœ… Make data centers pay their fair share for the infrastructure they need.
βœ… Take a hard look at these massive tax breaks and ask one simple question:

What are Hoosiers getting in return?

Our local governments should not have to save us from bad state policy.

The Statehouse should be protecting us too.

If a corporation wants to build here, fine.

But they should not get unlimited access to our water, our power and decades of tax breaks without accountability.

Hoosiers first. Not billion-dollar corporations.

Do you think Indiana should slow down and put stronger protections in place before more data centers are approved?

πŸ‘‡ I want to hear what you think

We are asking for help to get signs!

With all the events coming up, we would like to be able to give the party signs to display as well as all of you who want to Make Indiana Sweeter this November!

I can't do it alone. The stakes are too high to let those who vote against us continue to go unchecked!

Somebody has to say no!
