Are you looking for a babysitter this summer? Hiring a babysitter can be a big decision, so it’s important to consider several key factors to ensure you find the right fit for your family.

First, be sure to check references to hear from past employers about their reliability and skills. It’s a good idea to see if they have any safety certifications, such as CPR and first aid training.

Conduct an interview with the babysitter to determine if their availability aligns with your schedule and to discuss any specific needs your children may have. Additionally, have an open conversation with your children about their feelings regarding the babysitter, and talk to them about abuse prevention.

Taking the time to evaluate these factors will help you find the right babysitter this summer!

Today we’re proud to highlight our Advocates, Amanda and Kristin. Advocates play an essential role in supporting children and their families every step of the way. As cases progress through investigation, prosecution, and healing, they help families navigate the process and understand their rights. They also offer ongoing support by connecting families with resources such as counseling and community services, and help meet basic needs like food, clothing, toiletries, and financial assistance when needed. Thank you, Amanda and Kristin, for your dedication and all the meaningful work you do!
