IN LOVING MEMORY
Robert Wayne Peek, 62, of Princeton, stuck the flag and finished his race in the early morning hours of August 26, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Born June 3, 1964, in Caldwell County to Wanda and Gary Peek, he loved, laughed and lived hard until the very end. He was a Mama’s boy, a faithful husband, a mule-skinner, a beloved brother, a beloved Gramps, a cherished father, a fun Uncle Roy, a pal, and a cowboy, through and through. He recently retired as Assistant Director of the Princeton Public Works Department. He loved his wife, his children and grandchildren, his Mama, his extended family and friends, and Elvis. He was hardworking, loyal, mischievous, and wise; quick with a joke, sometimes questionable with advice, but always reliable and there when you needed him.
His family takes comfort knowing that a wagon was hitched and ready for him at the Pearly Gates, and that while other folks may be walking, he and Papaw will be riding by the still waters, waiting for the rest of us to get there.
Those left missing him on this side include his beloved wife, Laura Cummins Peek; their children, Kayla (Justin) Mitchell, Dillan Peek, Addison Peek (Jesse McCarthy), Teah (Bret) Collins, Matthew Croft, and Mia Skinner; their adored grandchildren, Cutter and Tate Mitchell, Rob Collins, and Brooklyn, Jules, and Camden Hillyard; his mother, Wanda Rogers Peek; his sisters, Stacey (Billy) Stalion and Terri Young (Steve Cooper); as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Peek, and his grandparents, John Cecil and Jessie Peek, and Guy and Miscal Rogers.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30th, 2026, with Bro. Jeff Boone officiating and Bro. Eric Faughn, Bro. Joe Farless, and Suzanne Boaz assisting. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in Robert's memory to Bright Life Farms, c/o Roberta Robertson, 6773 US Hwy 62 W, Kuttawa, KY 42055.

As final words of wisdom from Roy, his family leaves you with the quote he had on his tailgate, to be read as he rode away: “Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’”
