Calling all Camp Yeti explorers!

This week we're celebrating Nature Explorers Week by discovering the amazing outdoors right here in Oregon! From towering forests and rugged coastlines to high deserts and mountain peaks, Oregon is full of incredible places to explore.

🌿 Oregon Nature Challenge
Can you complete one or more of these adventures this week?

🔍 Go on a nature scavenger hunt in your neighborhood or local park.
🦅 Look for Oregon wildlife such as beavers, bald eagles, deer, squirrels, or songbirds.
🌲 Identify three different trees or plants you find outdoors.
📸 Take a photo of something beautiful in nature and share it with your family.
🚶 Take a nature walk and see how many sounds you can hear.

🦫 Animal Adventures Week: Meet Oregon's State Animal — The Beaver! 🦫

Did you know the American Beaver is Oregon's official state animal? These amazing engineers help create wetlands, improve water quality, and provide habitats for countless other animals. Using sticks, mud, and determination, beavers build dams and lodges that can completely transform an ecosystem! Beavers build both bank lodges along shorelines and freestanding lodges in ponds, with underwater entrances that help keep them safe from predators.

Looking for a fun way to learn more about these incredible animals? This week explore the interactive Beaver Lodge Adventure from the Beaver Trust! Kids can discover what it's like inside a beaver lodge, learn fascinating beaver facts, and explore the world of these busy builders through an engaging online experience.
