The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting construction on Highway 2 between Midway Road and Highway 194 on Monday, June 1. This project will resurface 8.35 miles of Highway 2 and require Highway 2 to be detoured on Highway 194 to Midway Road. Through traffic will not be able to travel on Highway 2 starting on June 1.

Access will be maintained for businesses and residences via connecting side roads. The detour is expected to be in place through mid-September.
