The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Comanche County in central Texas...

* Until 100 PM CDT.

* At 1034 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Gustine, Newburg, Energy and Lamkin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, & his fire family at Dublin TX Fire Department

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Joe Billingsley, a former Assistant Chief of the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department.
Joe was extremely dedicated to the fire service and was proud to be a member of our department. His commitment extended beyond our community, as he served for many years as a guest instructor at Texas A&M’s Annual Municipal Fire School, sharing his knowledge and experience with firefighters from across the state.
Joe’s contributions to the fire service and the lives he touched will not be forgotten. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.
Rest in peace, Chief Billingsley.

Please make plans to attend our annual BBQ fundraiser at the De Leon High School Cafeteria this year. We will be serving brisket and all the sides. This year we will be having live music and an auction. If you're not able to attend but would still like to donate, there is a QR code you can scan to make a donation if you wish. We hope to see everyone there.

We would like to take this time to thank everyone for another successful fish fry. Despite a little rain we had a GREAT turn out. We celebrated our 20 years as a fire department & presented the 6 members that have been on the department since it started with 20 year plaques.

Thank you to all of the sponsors, volunteers, those who bought raffle tickets & auction items….THANK YOU EVERYONE! We are truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing community!!
