Please see the approved transfer totals that were discussed at last night's meeting. We apologize that copies were not available; they are filed with the online correspondence and will be provided at the town budget meeting tomorrow. Additionally, $300,000 of surplus money was allocated from the general fund in May 2025 to assist in calculating the mil rate for the 2025-2026 proposed budget. That figure is represented on the revenue sheet that is part of the budget summary document.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Mayor Robert J. Chatfield welcomed Ned Lamont to Prospect to discuss the Town's water line project for Cambridge Drive and Coachlight Circle. Also in attendance were two members of the Town Council, the Tax Collector Megan Patchkofsky, CT state Representative Lezlye Zupkus, and a representative from Connecticut Water. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the project's progress, discuss the benefits it will bring to local residents, and emphasize the importance of securing grant funding to continue and complete the water line project. Town officials emphasized the need for ongoing investment in critical infrastructure to ensure reliable water service and support future community growth.
