Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to all of the amazing educators out there!

You might be wondering: why the water slide photo? I had the chance to chaperone a field trip this week and saw firsthand the greatness of educators. Watching them graciously and skillfully manage a large group of excited students—getting everyone there and back safely—was inspiring. My son had a blast, and so did all the kids, thanks to their incredible choir directors who did it all with a smile and genuine care.

Teachers truly make the world a better place. Thank you to all the educators in Prosper ISD and around the globe!

Tomorrow is Election Day! Polls are open 7am-7pm. Thank you to those who came out to early voting! If you haven’t voted yet, tomorrow is your last chance. Each of you has been so supportive and we need you to make one more BIG push to your networks to get out tomorrow and vote! Let’s finish strong and win this thing for Prosper ISD - together we SOAR!

If you don’t make it out tomorrow, May 4th is Election Day and your final chance to vote to let your voice be heard in support of Prosper ISD. Come out to the last day of early voting so you have your full Saturday to do all the Saturday stuff 😁 Please continue to encourage your people to get out and vote - local elections matter so much! Quick update as I am headed back from a Science of Reading conference in Alaska: early voting starts tomorrow! Please come out to Town Hall and see me on the first day of voting and remind your friends, neighbors, family, and the person in front of you at 1418 to VOTE! More specifically, please vote for me - with 20 years of experience in public education, I’m ready to partner with our current board and Dr. Ferguson to help Prosper continue to SOAR - let’s win this thing together! And a special thanks to Bill Beavers, Prosper ISD School Board Trustee Place 4 for his leadership and guidance on the school board - let’s re-elect Mr. Beavers!

Excited to post some photos from recent meet and greets and the Chamber’s “Meet the Candidate” event. So much fun to connect with our Prosper ISD community and earn their support! Please spread the word about early voting (April 22-30) and remind folks to get out and vote well before closing time on Election Day, May 4th. We are heading into the final stretch - let’s finish strong. I’m humbled by the support, hard work, and passion this amazing community has graciously given through this campaign process. Together we SOAR!

A couple highlights from the board meeting last night. We are so fortunate to live in this community and send our kids to a district that focuses on meeting the needs of students and educators. Sending a note of gratitude to the school board and district administrators who worked hard to give our amazing educators a pay raise for the upcoming school year - the board members were excited to approve/pass the increase and had such high praise for the talented educators in our district. I couldn’t agree more!
