FPNA-Fox Point Neighborhood Association

FPNA-Fox Point Neighborhood Association FPNA advocates for our historic neighborhood, taking input from the community at open board meetings on the second Monday of the month at 7 pm Bath House

The Fox Point Neighborhood offers its residents many benefits that others in the city do not. Consider what we have:
• Some of the most historically significant residential structures, which usually come with the city, state and/or federal designations and tax benefits.
• A safe, walking neighborhood with restaurants and shopping areas on Wickenden, Hope and Ives streets along with a number of c

onvenience stores and other establishments sprinkled throughout it.
• A tree-lined, truly residential “feel” in the middle of a major city.
• As the tip, or “point” of a peninsula into the Narragansett Bay, the neighborhood is surrounded on three sides by the Providence and Seekonk rivers and the deep-water port that gave the city its start. These natural resources provide some of the best and oldest city views and potentially many recreational opportunities. Also, there is the immeasurable serenity that the sight of water can provide.
• Over ten neighborhood parks, including the large Gano Street and India Point parks.
• A public library.
• An award-winning elementary school with a dedicated Parent Teacher Organization.
• A location that is surrounded on three sides by water, including Narragansett Bay and the Providence and Seekonk Rivers.
• At its northern border are Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design--and the cultural offerings they provide.
