Scenes from patrol 🚔

Sometimes our duties take our officers off the shore and into the harbor. Today Harbormaster Whinn, Officer Jovanovic, and Detective Rondeau worked together on shift. After their task was complete, they received some boating instructions on their way back to shore!

It’s always a pleasure working together with our community partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Sean Stewart on successfully completing the 12-week Field Training Officer (FTO) Program with the Provincetown Police Department!

Over the past 12 weeks, Officer Stewart has completed each phase of the field training process, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the many responsibilities that come with policing our community.

Throughout the program, Sean has approached each shift with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to listen, learn, and improve.

The FTO program is challenging by design. It takes a new officer from the academy environment into the realities of working the street, where every day and every call can be different. Sean has put in the time and effort while continuing to build his confidence, knowledge, and decision-making skills.

For Sean, completing field training is not the end of the learning process—it is the beginning of the next chapter. There will always be something new to learn in this profession, and we know he will continue to grow with every shift and every interaction with the people we serve.

Sean, congratulations on reaching this milestone. We are fortunate to have you as part of the Provincetown Police Department, and we look forward to seeing you continue to grow in your career and serve our community.

If you see Officer Stewart out and about, be sure to say hello and congratulate him on completing field training!

Sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones.

CSO Maldonado took a few minutes to kick the soccer ball around with a young man in town. These small interactions are what community policing is all about building relationships, making connections, and simply being part of the community we serve.

Nice footwork, CSO Maldonado!
