For generations, Slate Canyon has been part of Provo's story. We're working with Utah Open Lands to ensure it remains part of Provo's future.

As Provo grows, there will be more pressure to develop open space. So we've partnered with nonprofit Utah Open Lands to create a conservation easement, which would protect city-owned land near Slate Canyon from commercial and residential development.

Have questions about how an easement works? Wendy Fisher, Executive Director of Utah Open Lands, will be at the Slate Canyon Open House on June 13 at 8:30 am at Slate Canyon Park.
