It's Scam of the Week time:
DEBT OWED/UNPAID BILLS
Callers often pose as local utility services or similar public service provider, claiming unpaid bills are due.

WHAT TO DO
Utility/Government/Public Service Providers do not typically call to collect bill payment, nor will they use fear or urgency to request money.
- Hang up on callers demanding immediate payment.
- Find the publicly listed number for the organization and call them to verify your account or billing status.
- Set up automated bill payments only through your bank or your utility provider.

Today will be busy in Provo, so plan ahead! A protest and rally is scheduled for downtown this afternoon, and we have a rather big football game happening this evening. If you’re planning on coming to town, please give yourself plenty of time for travel, watch out for pedestrians and cyclists, and remember - no drones near the stadium. Go Cougs!

Today was special - we had the privilege of dedicating 500 West in Provo, as Master Officer Joseph Shinners Memorial Boulevard. Joe was shot and killed in the line of duty on January 5th, 2019, whilst protecting the life of a fellow officer and citizen. We are proud to see his name standing tall in our community, and it was fitting to be able to honor him on his birthday.

We bear witness to communities in pain, fear, grief, and uncertainty.
We are present for moments people never forget.
We are present for moments we may not be prepared for.
Presence is part of the job.
Presence is an honor.
