Paramedic Amber and EMT Kaylie had a blast hanging out with the community at National Night Out! One of our favorite times of the year.

They also got to hang out with Houghton Lake Ambulance Authority’s Paramedic Beth and EMT Taylor! All four of these ladies are there when duty calls and we are so glad to have them on our team! 🚑

See you there! Tonight at 6pm at the Houghton Lake Walmart!

It's International Paramedics Day!

And while today is for recognizing the great work these professionals do each day, it's a heavy one coming after recent line of duty deaths.

We’ve lost three in the line of duty in the last three days. Three medics who went to work like any other shift and didn’t make it home.

So check on your partner. Shoot a text to someone you haven’t heard from in a bit.

Take care of each other out there. Thank you for all you do!

We are so happy to hear this young man is on the mend!

Way to go Rob for providing care along side Markey EMS!

We're able to share a heartening update on the young bull rider who suffered an injury at the July 4th rodeo! After connecting with his parents and the brave young man himself, he's sustained seven broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken clavicle, and a spinal fracture, but miraculously, no surgery is needed at this time. Glory to God, he's being discharged from the hospital probably tomorrow and sent home to recuperate! His unbreakable spirit remains high, and he's vowed to make a triumphant comeback. A huge thank you to each and every one of you who sent loving thoughts and prayers for his speedy recovery. We're also deeply grateful to the Markey EMS crew, Stew and Jennifer, for their exceptional care, and to Denton Paramedic Rob for providing top-notch care to Myles. Please continue to pray for the young man. All the scars are untold stories of rodeo and it’s all a part of the sport that we love. We did have permission from Myles parents and Myles himself about posting his condition. He wanted to thank everyone for reaching out to him as well for all the love and support . His words as he was being loaded into the ambulance” peace sign ✌️ I’ll be back next week.”
