The Federal Government issues a warning about drugs made with fentanyl that are many times more potent and deadly!
WHAT THEY ARE:
1. Carfentanil (100 times more potent than fentanyl)
2. Fluorofentanyl
3. Methylfentanyl
-Together, they've killed at least 12,500 people in the U.S. since 2023.
WHERE THEY ARE - BASED ON LAB TESTING:
-Methylfentanyl was found in 36 states in 2025
-Carfentanil and Fluorofentanyl were found in every state but South Dakota and Hawaii in 2025.
HOW DO THEY GET HERE:
-Traffickers make them and smuggle them into the U.S. as counterfeit prescription pills or powder to be added to other drugs like co***ne, m**h and he**in.
WHAT TO KNOW:
1. Never take a pill not prescribed for you.
2. Realize any drug on the streets can be contaminated with fentanyl and other varieties.
3. If someone overdoses, be prepared to use many doses of Narcan to revive them.
4. If someone overdoses, call 911 immediately, don't wait.
