🏃‍♂️ Jefferson Elementary Color Run-A-Thon 2026 🏃‍♀️

Packets went home today!

Event Date: Friday, September 18th (30-minute run/walk while getting sprayed with colorful powder!)

Fundraising Goal: $3,000–$5,000 for school enrichment programs.

Important Deadline: Turn in pledge sheets and collected money by Thursday, September 17th.

Awesome Prizes:

$10+ raised: Choice of free recess, computer time, or a movie.

Top 2 Classes: Popsicle & extra recess party!

Top 10 Students: Pizza lunch in the library.

What to Wear: Running shoes, swimsuit under clothes, shorts/pants, and an old white shirt (it will get colorful!).

If your child comes to school after a difficult night, morning, or weekend, text or email “Handle with Care” along with your child’s name and school. No details will be requested. We will discreetly notify their teachers that your child may need extra time, patience, or support.

Two days in, and it already feels like we never left! The halls of Jefferson are filled with bright smiles, new friendships, and endless energy. As you can tell from our playground photo, our team is still feeling like kids at heart and ready to bring that passion into the classroom every single day.
Thank you to our amazing families for such a smooth start to the school year! We’re officially warmed up, powered up, and extra excited to welcome our newest little learners when Pre-K joins us on Monday! We're ready to make this our best year yet!

Whups! Let's try this again:

Earlier this spring, Mr. Beattie issued a challenge: if our students gave it their absolute best during state testing, he’d commit to a bright blue mohawk.

The kids definitely held up their end of the bargain and so did he!
While the Color Run provided plenty of extra mess, that blue hair isn't paint—it’s the result of a promise kept! While the kids' colors will wash out by bedtime, Mr. Beattie’s new look is here to stay, at least for now!

We’re proud of our students for stepping up, and we love having a principal who’s willing to keep his promise, even if he looks a little wild.
Way to go, Jefferson! 💙
