Colorado is at its best when everyone can participate in the traditions that bring us together. This year’s Colorado State Fair is expanding accessibility for guests with disabilities through free on-demand ASL and visual interpretation, mobility upgrades, the Exceptional Rodeo, and a Sensory Friendly Day with smaller crowds, softer sounds, and dimmed lighting. I’m grateful to everyone helping Coloradans of all abilities feel welcomed, included, and free to enjoy the Fair at their own pace.

🗓 Public Comment Period: August 6 – September 4, 2026

We encourage self-advocates, family members, caregivers, providers, and community members to review the proposed changes and submit comments to HCPF.

MPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL PARENTS WITH LOVED ONES WITH WAIVER SERVICES!!!!

Some people in Colorado are experiencing delays with their annual renewal for Medicaid waiver services. You may get A Notice of Action. Please open every piece of mail you receive from TRE.

Even if you think it is routine paperwork, it may contain important information about your annual renewal or your appeal rights.

At this time, the biggest concern is for people whose annual service plan renews on August 1 (8/1). If your renewal date is not August 1, you do not need to panic. We simply encourage you to stay informed and continue opening any mail you receive from TRE.

🚨 ACTION ALERT: Protect Special Education 🚨

TAKE ACTION TODAY: Sign the petition by THIS THURSDAY, July 16, and urge the Administration and Congress to protect the rights of students with disabilities and ensure families continue to have a strong federal advocate for special education.

⚠️ Don't wait—the deadline is THIS THURSDAY.
