SadieShelter HomeKits and Systems, Inc. SadieShelter HomeKits and Systems, Inc, builds secure sturdy structures that protect victims of traum The U.S.

Victims of traumatic displacement face treacherous dangers well beyond their initial catastrophic loss. The high occurrence of opportunistic, violent and often deadly assault against people who have been torn from their homes by a disaster, whether natural or decidedly unnatural, is disturbingly commonplace and perpetrated primarily against women and children. Victims of traumatic displacement fac

e the immediately menacing threats of illness and death due to exposure while housed in standard crisis tent shelters. SadieShelter H&S, Inc, structures are inexpensive, extremely sturdy, water- and fireproof shelters with a double-wall and drop-in floor design and an effective reinforced locking door. The pouring of insulation material, such as sand, gravel, soil or even paper, into the double-wall design provides structural strength and the moderation of interior temperature while subjected to extreme outside conditions. SadieShelter H&S, Inc, also offers an optional drop-in wall “Ballistic Insert” that provides an additional 4” insulation space. As seen on their Kickstarter campaign ( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1890212356/sadieshelter-hands-inc-structures-are-securityshel?ref=email) and project description, the additional protection of this “Ballistic Insert”, prevents the permeation of small gun-propelled projectiles. SadieShelter H&S, Inc, has also launched an online funding campaign with the hosting site: Indiegogo. That link is: http://www.indiegogo.com/project/preview/71f7af10. SadieShelter H&S, Inc, hopes to partner with large domestic and global aid agencies to replace treated canvas tent shelters currently distributed to victims of traumatic displacement. SadieShelter structures can be linked together to create a larger secure internal space and can be made permanent with the application of a stucco-like material. According to the study by the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre and the Norwegian Refugee Council, “Natural disasters forced 32.4 million people to flee last year (2013), with the overwhelming majority (98 percent) due to climate- and weather-related events. While most of the victims live in developing nations, 2012 also saw an increase in environmental refugees in wealthy countries, particularly in the United States. experienced one of the worst instances of disaster-induced displacement in 2012 after Hurricane Sandy forced 776,000 people out of their homes. ”

SadieShelter structures would make ALL THE DIFFERENCE for these precious victims of traumatic displacement. But, we can't get there because of MONEY.
Our waterproof, bulletproof and fire-resistant new "Extreme Weather" structures priced as close to cost as possible ($1500) while keeping the lights on, would provide meaningful and lasting protection for 4-6 people from these coming contaminated flood waters for 3-5 years for less money per unit than a typical tent-shelter currently distributed that boasts a life of 3 weeks for 3 people.

More than half a million Rohingya refugees face looming disaster from floods and landslides when the first storms of the monsoon season hit their camp in Bangladesh.

Woke up this morning to a standing shadow through the etched window of our front door. I opened the door to meet a homeless man trembling on our stoop with eyes searching for a way to disappear from my view while whispering through frozen cracked lips about the cold and so tired...

The word and issue of "homelessness" is so distant and out of our reach until we meet ourselves in them, suffering, face to face. BUT FOR CHANCE AND GRACE...he is me.

This man who is me will have a room tonight. What happens tomorrow.

Our new SadieShelter severe weather resistant model. Insulated double-wall compressed fiberboard with flexible 2mm corrugated plastic overlay. Accommodates 4-6 for up to 5 years. $1800.

SadieShelter is making every effort to contribute to STOPPING these atrocities. We are traveling to India at the end of January to assist the almost 20 million people affected by displacement and to provide our structures to support the humanitarian service activities of this remarkable country. We intend to use resources from this trip and others to support the distribution of our structures to the Rohingya refugees suffering unprotected from the horrors of displacement.

If you would like to help us with the expenses to travel to India please donate at our site www.sadieshelter.org The export support grants we were awarded to fund the expenses to travel to India have been delayed beyond the date of travel, so we will be funding this most imperative week of international procurement meetings without assistance.

We WILL get there. We WILL provide our secure, cost-effective, superior structures to the vulnerable victims of traumatic displacement so that they might rest safely and protect their loved ones...to become capable of recovery. We will need about $16,000 to cover the expenses of travel and the fees associated with our meetings and presentations to procurement agencies over a period of a full week in 3 Indian cities.

Any assistance will be enormously appreciated. We will get there. Every time we meet what seems to be an insurmountable obstacle, The Highest Power and Hand of LOVE reaches out to move us forward. GOD is Love and Love is ALL by any name. There is nothing LOVE cannot achieve. Blessings-Darla

THIS is why SadieShelter exists. We are working to distribute our structures to the Rohingyas people as soon as possible.

The slash marks on Rashida Begum's neck have turned into dark, red scars. She showed us the cuts as if to say: look, I tried to fight back, I tried within an inch of my life. "We saw the military digging holes (for mass graves). We were five women with our babies," Rashida said, almost in a whisper....

Writing letters today to propose our structures for this obvious purpose. Alerting my friends, Gilbert Ortiz and Chris Nicoll - Pueblo Cathy Kelly Valenzuela to this effort!

Renovations to the Pueblo Rescue Mission building are not expected to be completed until late December, leaving the city's homeless population without a shelter as cold weather settles in.

Just amazing footage of the scope of this catastrophe. I believe our structures will truly and meaningfully help these people. Plan to travel with structures within 4 weeks.

Thousands of Rohingya fleeing violence have crossed the border to Bangladesh, but their journey is far from over.

So, after 7 years of sort of understanding how we want SadieShelter's "Samothropy Foundation" to work, THE FOG LIFTS to reveal our true non-prof branch foundation purpose:

“The Mission of the Samothropy Foundation is to provide financial and service support to help qualified, culturally respectful families around the world adopt children who have been orphaned by traumatic displacement and disaster.”

The Samothropy Foundation is funded with the profits of our "Samothropy", or commercial structure sales.

Couldn't sleep a wink last night, so I know this is the specific purpose we've been waiting for!

The crisis of Rohingyan refugees in Bangladesh and those still being slain in Myanmar is not being recognized by our national media or “administration” as the evil systematic genocide that it is and we allowing a flesh and blood torn atrocity of catastrophic consequences to continue without objection.

SadieShelter is going. One way or another. With the International Trade Commission travel grant, we’re going. I don’t give a dingdong what or who gets in my way because I will die trying. That’s it.

I get our structures can’t stop war but we can keep one child safe. One mother will sleep peacefully with her children in her arms.
That’s all I will ever need.

If you want to help us fund a trip and the distribution of our structures to these innocent people torn apart by warring factions on both sides, please donate from our website at
www.sadieshelter.org

We are waiting for, communicating and pursuing several funding consumer agency options to get there ASAP but nothing ever moves quickly enough to save that one little girl today or the young man tomorrow. Torture.

"The Mission of SadieShelter is to build secure, durable, cost-effective temporary structures that will protect vulnerable victims of traumatic displacement by significantly improving the conditions of security, shelter, sanitation and solace."
