As of 5:00 a.m., based on firsthand assessments, roadway conditions across the county remain in very poor condition. Black ice is widespread and difficult to detect, creating extremely dangerous driving conditions. Vehicles can lose traction without warning, significantly increasing the risk of crashes, slide-offs, and delayed emergency response times.
Motorists are strongly urged to remain at home and avoid travel unless it is absolutely necessary. Even experienced drivers and four-wheel-drive vehicles are not immune to black ice. Please prioritize your safety and the safety of first responders by staying off the roadways if at all possible.
Let’s not meet by “accident” 🏎️ 💥
