Miss Elizabeth read "Trick or Treat, Bugs to Eat" by Tracy C. Gold and Walter's Wonderful Web" by Tim Hopgood.

The children had fun putting together spiders with googly eyes and lots of legs during craftime!

Join us every Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 for an hour of playtime with friends, stories, movement, and themed crafts.

🀄 Mahjong at the Library: Turning Tiles Instead of Pages! 🀄

Ready to shuffle things up? Join us for Mahjong at Giles County Public Library! Whether you're new to the game or already know your way around the tiles, there's a seat at the table for you.

📅 January 12 & 26 | 4:00*–6:30 p.m.
🌟 Special guests will be on hand from 5:30-6:30 to share basic Mahjong tips for beginners and those looking for a little extra guidance.

🀄 Starting in February: Join us on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month for casual Mahjong play! We'll provide two sets of tiles, with space for up to 8 players. Bring your own set if you have one!

⏰ *Set-up begins at 4:00 p.m. Stop by when you can between 4:00 and 6:30. Meet fellow Mahjong enthusiasts and enjoy some friendly competition!

🧩 Building Skills, One Square at a Time!
Denise and Brianna welcomed county students to Career Expo 2026, where future problem-solvers could put their engineering skills to the test with SOMA cubes!

SOMA cubes are a hands-on puzzle made up of seven pieces formed from small cubes. The challenge is to fit the pieces together to create a larger cube or one of 240 other configurations, encouraging students to think critically, recognize spatial patterns, solve problems, and explore three-dimensional design. It’s a fun way to discover how creativity and logical thinking come together in engineering! 🧠🔷

Our Crochet Club is back for another afternoon of creativity and fellowship! Whether you're putting the finishing touches on a favorite project, starting something new, or looking for inspiration, you'll find a welcoming group ready to stitch, share ideas, and enjoy great conversation.

Friday Storytime was full of pumpkin-themed fun! From delightful stories to seasonal smiles, our little readers had a wonderful time celebrating all things pumpkin with Miss Elizabeth. 🎃✨ Miss Elizabeth read "Pumpkin Jack" by Will Hubbell and "Pumpkin Trouble" by Jan Thompson.

Want to join the fun? Bring your little ones and make Storytime part of your Friday routine! We meet every Friday at 10:00 AM at the Giles Heritage Theatre for stories, smiles, songs, and special memories. 📖💛
