SCAM ALERT:
We are getting numerous reports regarding a scam in which the caller states they are a deputy with the Brown County Sheriff's Office and that the victim has missed a jury summons, and now owes money.

The scammer also sends a text with a picture of a fabricated arrest warrant, as well as a QR code to scan. The scammer may also be calling from the Brown County non-emergency number.

Please remember: the Brown County Sheriff's Office will never contact you by phone demanding payment. If you receive a call and are unsure if it could be a scam, please hang up and call our non-emergency line at 920-391-7450, even if the original call you are unsure of is from this number.
