🚨 SCAM ALERT: We have been made aware of an unsolicited letter being sent to Medicare beneficiaries advertising a Medicare Annual Wellness Visit from home.

The letter directs the recipient to call a phone number or scan a QR code to complete the visit. If you receive a letter like this, do NOT scan the QR code or use the contact information provided in the letter. QR codes from unverified sources can direct you to fraudulent websites or put your personal information and device security at risk.

We're sharing examples of the letter so you know what to watch for.

If you receive unexpected communication claiming to be from Medicare and aren't sure it's legitimate, contact Virginia Senior Medicare Patrol at (804)644-5628 to verify it before providing any information or taking action.

Please share this warning. The more people who recognize scams like this, the harder it becomes for scammers to succeed
