💧 WATER PROJECT UPDATE – WE’RE GETTING CLOSE! 💧

We are still receiving quite a few calls and questions regarding the upcoming transition to lake water, so we wanted to provide a quick update and reassurance to our residents.

As we move into the final stages of transitioning to lake water, you may notice some discoloration in your water. It is very typical during this process to see a yellow/brown tint or even cloudy or white-looking water.

💧 Why does this happen?
• The yellow/brown discoloration can be caused by the high flow of water scouring the water mains as hydrants are flushed.
• The cloudy or white appearance is typically caused by small amounts of air remaining in the water lines following installation.

✅ Most importantly, the water is SAFE TO DRINK.
Water is being tested daily by our staff and certified laboratories throughout this transition.

We understand that the water may not always look the best during this process, and we apologize for any inconvenience or concern it may cause. This is a normal part of getting everything flushed, cleaned, and ready as we complete the transition.

CALL FOR ART!

The Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 2nd Annual Sharing of Our Stories September 26-27 at locations all across the village of Pulaski.

We need YOU to share your stories too! The first opportunity is through a call for art!

As part of the Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce's 2nd Annual Sharing of our Stories to be held September 26-27, we are once again hosting a pop up art gallery inside the conference room at Premier Community Bank!

This call for art is open to individuals of all ages whose work helps share the story of Pulaski. This can be art that shares your story, artwork about a specific place in the village, a photograph of an event in Pulaski, or even a 3D piece that shares traditional Polish pottery or painting. The sky is the limit as long as it shares Pulaski with the viewer! There is no fee to submit to this call and you can submit up to three pieces for consideration.

Submissions will be accepted now through Wednesday, September 16. Accepted artists will be notified by September 18th. Drop off dates will be shared but will occur between September 21-24 at Premier Community Bank.

Pulaski is entering the final phase of its transition to Lake Michigan water. Major construction is substantially complete, and the Village and its project partners are now completing final system checks and scheduled water tower cleaning. Residents may see crews flushing selected hydrants as the transition gets underway. This will be a planned part of the process, and no action is needed from customers. The transition is anticipated later this month. We will share another update once Lake Michigan water is flowing and the new system is operating normally.
