Great news! We're now able to expand Tuesday, March 9th's clinic to include both those aged 65 and older AND anyone with an eligible comorbidity or underlying health condition. See the list of eligible health conditions here: https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/phased-distribution-vaccine -1a---phase-1b

To attend March 9th's clinic, you must pre-register using the link found on our website: www.steubencony.org/covid Follow all 3 steps to make sure you get your vaccine and are not turned away at the clinic.

Thankfully, many county health departments have advocated together to expand the scope of our vaccine allocations from the state, resulting in this allocation being allowed to be used for those with comorbidities as well. Every step we are able to take towards getting every eligible resident vaccinated is a win.

Proof of eligibility is required at every clinic. Those eligible by age must bring an ID with their name and date of birth. Those eligible by having comorbidities must also bring their ID and provide either a doctor’s note or the signed attestation that is available in step three on our registration page.

All clinic attendees must wear appropriate face coverings and will be expected to wait 15-30 minutes after vaccination for observation. Attendees should wear short sleeves or appropriate clothing for vaccination. For safe clinic flow and traffic patterns, registered participants should come to the clinic at their appointment time. The clinic location and parking cannot accommodate participants showing up early.

Residents currently under isolation or quarantine at the time of the clinic due to a positive COVID-19 test result or as a contact to a positive are not eligible to attend the clinic. Due to limited vaccine supply, those who have been COVID-positive within 90 days prior to the clinic are not currently eligible.

Many people have been looking for ways to book COVID-19 Vaccination appointments for those who are 65+. It can be very frustrating but we wanted to share some resources that locals have had success utilizing to get appointments. As of the time of posting this information there are likely no current appointments available in the short term but more will be released particularly by pharmacies which are booking as their deliveries come in. They do go very quickly so keep an eye to these links and social media regularly for open appointments.
