Jan 3, 2022, I posted that I was mentally prepping for a lot of work, and mentally prepping for a lot of mental prepping:

If there was one lesson I learned in 2022: We may control the decisions we make in the moment, but we don't control the outcomes, the environment around us, or the sphere of influence of others making decisions. God is in control in His time.

2022 blew my mind in such huge ways. My life on January 1 was so drastically different than it was yesterday. I don't think any amount of mental preparation would have let me guess where I would stand today. In retrospect, I realized today that without the mind-blowing changes of 2022, I would have almost certainly failed in getting this or any additional project off the ground.

I am so blessed today. I hope 2023 is one that dreams are made of.

2/3 of the road in is flagged. Progress!

Today marks a huge leap forward: We funded the road.

I always want to show everyone the beauty of what we are working on, but today, I want to take a moment to log where we're coming from. It's been a bumpy road, literally.

I know in the next 2 weeks, I won't even recognize this area from what it was. Instead of 4wd through a mud hole trying not to get stuck, we might actually enjoy the view in this area.

I hope it inspires others to put in the hours, work through the tough times, to make your dreams come true.

Here we come world!!! Just working through the last details that will make our location accessible. Now that the long road (literally) is coming closer to the end, ready to start a campaign so we can make Carolina Valley more for lives than we have ever dreamed.

Snow day in the Valley! I'm sure it's a beautiful day there!!! I hope everyone in the area has warmth today!
There are still widespread power outages, and we're not far enough on the project to have a backup source yet, so we had to leave to find accomodations. Motivates me even more to get these things rolling!!! I don't want to miss the beautiful days in the Valley and on the Mountain!

Today we got a $3000 pledge for some of the initial building materials from a private benefactor!

I was so excited to hear about the support! This really takes a lot of weight off of my mind when supporting the family and trying to make this project a reality. I put in around 70 hours weekly traveling to and working my job, so it doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for extra time.

For me, contributions like this are what dreams are made of! I can't wait for my first opportunity to pay that forward!!
