🐻 September is Bear Necessities Month!

This month helps raise awareness about bear conservation, the importance of protecting natural habitats, and the threats facing the world’s eight bear species.

Just like all wildlife, bears depend on the necessities: clean ecosystems, safe habitats, fresh water, and protection from human-related dangers. Together, we can help create a safer world for bears and other animals for generations to come. 🌎🐾

🐾 From Paws to Claws — Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today may be all about our four-legged canine friends, but at Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary, we have a soft spot for paws of ALL sizes! 🐶❤️🐯

Whether they’re tiny paws curled up beside you on the couch or BIG paws belonging to some of the incredible animals in our care, every animal deserves love, respect, proper care, and a safe place to call home.
