To Our Putnam Valley Neighbors,

Imagine …..

Suddenly you’re not feeling well, or maybe you sustained an injury. So you call for an ambulance, and the members of the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps are dispatched to your location. We don’t just bring you to a hospital ….. with their extensive training, our EMTs are able to assess your condition and provide appropriate aid before and during transportation!

Last year we received over 700 such calls for emergency medical assistance. Unfortunately, maintaining such service incurs huge costs. This year, we had to replace an older ambulance at great
expense & will need to repeat that process again soon. We must also replace our standby generator, without which our facility and ambulances cannot operate when our local utility power feed is
interrupted ….. nor can our building serve as emergency shelter for residents during extreme weather conditions. When combined with inflationary increases in a long list of other expenses, these financial

At 10am Putnam Valley Ambulance responded to Lake Peekskill to support Putnam Valley Fire at a house fire. We'll always be there to back up Putnam Valley's Bravest.

Our flag flies at half-staff today as we join the nation in mourning the passing of the iconic Dolly Parton.
While the world knew her as a legend of music and screen, to the healthcare and emergency response community, she was a dedicated champion of health, science, and life-saving research. From funding critical vaccine research at Vanderbilt Medical Center to lifting up communities in times of hardship and disaster, Dolly embodied the very spirit of service, generosity, and compassion that first responders strive to bring to work every day.
Her light, music, and extraordinary heart leave an indelible mark on our country.
Rest in peace, Dolly. We will always love you. 🕊️✨

🚨 Morning Incident Response & Safety Reminder 🚨
At approximately 08:30 this morning, our crew responded to a single-vehicle accident right outside the town park. We worked alongside Putnam Valley Fire Department, Putnam County Medic 1, and Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies to secure the scene and care for those involved.

One patient was evaluated at the scene and safely transported for medical care.

Looking at the aftermath of the crash, we want to take a moment to emphasize a critical reminder: Safety equipment saves lives.

Modern vehicle safety features—like airbags and properly worn seatbelts—make all the difference in the world when the unexpected happens. Even if you are just driving a few minutes down the road, a serious accident can happen anywhere, at any time.

Please, never skip the basics:

Buckle up every single time you get in the car.

Ensure all passengers are securely buckled.

Stay alert and stay safe on our local roads.
