Officer Carr has arrived in North Carolina and is already hitting the ground running with K9 Taz!🐾 Over the next few weeks, they’ll train hard and build their bond. Taz is being trained as a dual-purpose K9: patrol and narcotics detection!💪🐶

More updates will be coming soon as Officer Carr gets ready to go to NC and they prepare to return to Quakertown!

Welcome K9 Taz to the QPD Family!🚔🐕

The Quakertown Police Department’s K9 Unit recently traveled to North Carolina to select the newest member of our team and family. After a full day of evaluation and testing, we’re excited to introduce K9 Taz!

Taz is a German Shepherd born on June 16, 2024, in Germany. He will be trained as a narcotics and patrol K9.

Over the next four months, Taz will undergo rigorous training. Once complete, Officer Carr will travel to North Carolina to join him for a month-long training program. Together, they will train, bond, and certify as a team before returning home to serve and protect the Quakertown community.

We look forward to sharing more updates as Taz progresses in his training. Welcome to the team, Taz!

During a recent police training, Ed, owner of Gateway Kia of Quakertown, generously stopped by to present the Quakertown K9 Unit with a $10,000 donation.

This incredible contribution will directly support our efforts to acquire a new K9, which we hope to welcome to the force this fall. We’re deeply grateful for this support and commitment to public safety in our community!

Join us this Sunday at Rita’s Italian Ice, 534 W. Broad Street, for a sweet treat that supports our K9 Unit! ALL proceeds from Pup Cups and a portion of ALL sales will go directly to the Unit.

Stop by to meet one of our QPD Officers and their K9 partner, and show your support by grabbing a K9 shirt or sweatshirt—available for purchase with cash or Venmo.

It’s SUNday FUNday and we have some awesome events planned to wrap up our 2024 season. Stop in with your doggos next Sunday, September 15 from 5-9 PM to support the Quakertown Borough Police’s K9 Unit. We will be donating ALL proceeds from Pup Cups and a percentage of our in-store-sales to the cause.

Mill St.) for our DOG DAYS OF SUMMER event!🐶 This is a FREE event that promises an evening of tail-wagging fun and excitement for the whole family, including your furry four-legged friends, while raising funds for our K9 Unit.
