08/05/2022

The deadline for homeschoolers to submit their notice of intent to homeschool is approaching. For those who are continuing their homeschool in the 2022-2023 school year, the notice of intent to homeschool is due to the superintendent by August 15th.

If a homeschool family moves into the school district after August 15th, the law requires them to submit their notice of intent “as soon as practicable” and comply within 30 days.

Please note that a homeschool can begin at any time during the school year. If a family has not yet made the decision to homeschool, they can enroll their children in school and if that is not working the children can be pulled from school to homeschool.

For more information, contact your School Liaison Office at 703.784.4729
