Last evening, the Brethren of JAL #350 had the distinct pleasure of hosting the 178th Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Most Worshipful Jack Kayle Lewis during our monthly Stated Communications meeting. Most Worshipful Lewis gave us a talk on the importance of Freemasons doing good things in our community and being more visible. Also, Mr. Robert "Tony" Perry of Marine Corps Systems Command, received congratulatory offerings for a forthcoming Masonic Community Builders Award. A great evening was had by all, and thanks to the Brethren from other lodges who came to visit and to help ensure the evening was a success!

It was a wonderful evening, and thanks to the cast, most of whom were filling roles that were not their usual positions in the lodge. It's an honor to be amongst Brothers who will step in wherever they're needed! It was a momentous night for our newest Brother!

Last night during our monthly Stated Communication meeting, our awesome Treasurer Borther Harvey Miller provided some of what we call "PME", or "Professional MASONIC Education". Those of you who have served in the military will understand the play on words at use here!
Brother Harvey enlightened us with an amazing briefing regarding many of the famous military leaders who have been members of our beloved Lodge over the past nearly 100 years.

Yesterday before our monthly Stated Communication Meeting, we were honored to present a check to Lim's Barber Shop in the town of Quantico, just a block away from the Lodge. The check is to provide 75 haircuts to junior Enlisted Marines aboard MCB Quantico. Joining us for the presentation was the Mayor of Quantico, Kevin Brown. It was a great moment for us all! This is Masonry in action, serving others for the betterment of the world!

We would like to thank the Brothers of Kilwinning Cross Lodge Number 2-237 for their work with us last evening. They put on a "Provisional Past Master's Degree" for our Brother Terry. Brother Terry is about to become our Junior Warden in a few weeks and we needed to get this done. Without the wonderful Brothers of Kilwinning Cross, this wouldn't have happened. Thanks so much for everything!
