The Transition Readiness Program (TRP) process is composed of 5 key steps designed to assist and guide you throughout your transition process.

1️⃣ Individualized Initial Counseling (IC) – Must be completed NLT 365 days from EAS.
2️⃣ Pre-Separation Counseling – Must be completed NLT 365 days from EAS.
3️⃣ Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS) – Must be completed NLT 180 days from EAS.
4️⃣ Capstone Review – Must be completed NLT 120 days from EAS.
5️⃣ Commander’s Verification – Must be completed NLT 90 days from EAS.

Opportuntiy Alert 🚨 HQMC, Personal and Professional Readiness Branch is a Unit Personal and Family Readiness Program Manager.

Major duties of this position include:

Coordinates, facilitates and executes strategic plans and management initiatives to include mission, vision, goals, objectives, marketing initiatives, improvement initiatives, organizational development initiatives, realignment/restructuring and reengineering efforts to include some of continuous and long range impact, and to meet and resolve one-time or short term contingencies.

Reviews proposed changes to UPFRP plans and project proposals to see that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met and to insure that changes do not include provisions contrary to basic law when applicable.

Selects pertinent techniques for data collection to identify aspects of successful and unsuccessful program operations.

Supervises employee(s) to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees.

Military dependent care costs can be high. A Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) can help you set aside earnings tax-free to pay for such expenses.

IMPORTANT DEADLINE INFORMATION

• You may only enroll in a DCFSA during the Federal Benefits Open Season, typically held mid-November through mid-December each year, or when you have experienced a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) such as the birth or adoption of a child, a divorce, or relocation.
• The DCFSA operates on a calendar year basis, starting January 1 and ending December 31.
• There is a grace period through March 15 of the following year to incur expenses. Claims can be submitted through April 30 of the following year.
• Any funds remaining in a DCFSA after April 30 of the following year are forfeited.
