Community Meetings on Proposed School Facility Project

On January 17, 2022 the Quapaw Board of Education approved an April 5th bond election for school facility improvements. The bond election will include the following projects:

Roof Replacement at the Elementary School.

Safe Room at the Elementary School consisting of 2 classrooms, a music room and a small bank of restrooms. The portable classrooms will be removed. The tornado shelter will hold approximately 500 occupants.

Restroom renovation in the Student Center and adding a small set of restrooms at the Middle School.

Bleacher Addition on the north side of the Main Gymnasium. This will allow additional seating for music programs, assemblies and activities.

More information will be shared on the proposed project at a series of Community Meetings on March 22 and 29. These meetings will be held in the Quapaw Elementary School Library. The meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

We are missing Sophie. She is a red tri mini Aussie and weighs about 20 lbs. she a foster and has only been here a few days so she doesn’t know us very well. She was recently spayed and is microchipped. Please let us know if you see her!!!! We live behind Teeters paving in Quapaw. Last seen around 7pm. 918-533-3208

My Great-aunt was Harriet Rhodes. I stayed at her hotel as a child. She also had a coffee shop, beauty parlor and the post office used to be in the building. Does anyone have pictures or information as to what happened to that building? Any history would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone seen this black lab? Shes super small still and has a blue collar with white and yellow flowers. She got out 2 days ago and someone in Quapaw found her at the route 66 station bit she ran away from them last night. If anyone has seen her please call 4173960945. Her name is luna and we just really want her home. Thank you!!
