The Quapaw Nation Business Committee enacted the Quapaw Nation Wildlife Code during its regular meeting on July 18, 2026. The Code will become effective September 1, 2026.

The Wildlife Code establishes the legal framework for wildlife conservation and management within the Quapaw Nation Reservation, including provisions related to hunting and fishing licenses, seasons, enforcement, aquatic species, and other regulated activities.

Constitution Committee Meeting – September 1, 2026
The Constitution Committee will meet Tuesday, September 1, at 6:30 PM via Zoom. The Enrollment Committee will also participate in the meeting.
During this meeting, the committees expect to continue discussion of the Citizenship Sections. The Constitution Committee will also discuss the format and agenda for the September 6 and 7 writing session.
Feedback from Quapaw Nation tribal members is encouraged. These discussions are part of an ongoing process, and no final decisions have been made.

Quapaw Nation Powwow Committee Bingo Fundraiser

The Quapaw Nation Powwow Committee will host a Bingo Fundraiser on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Quapaw Nation Community Building.
Bingo cards will be available for $3 for one card or $15 for six cards. The fundraiser will take place before the Fall Gathering, which begins at 2:00 PM.

Candidate filing for the 2026 Quapaw Nation Special Election for Vice Chair begins today, August 27, 2026.

Qualified candidates may file a Declaration of Candidacy during the filing period established by the Quapaw Nation Election Committee.

The last day to file is Monday, September 28, 2026.

The Special Election will be held Saturday, December 5, 2026.
