Purchasing books for Mini Mules Academy is another fantstic use of a SEF teacher venture grant!

Even with tight funding, the program has done a great job stretching resources, reusing materials, & working
with the Solanco School District Early Learning team to keep everything running smoothly. The support received from the Solanco Education Foundation for purchasing books really makes a difference & directly impacts each child who
participates. Mini Mules Academy is a great example of a program that brings learning to life, builds connections & leaves a lasting impression on students of all ages!

Wednesday night Solanco Education Foundation was honored to present 16 Solanco School District seniors with scholarships to help further their education! Congratulations to all of the evening's honorees! What an awesome & exciting night in our community!

Another Teacher Venture Grant in Action:

Kara Phipps at Clermont Elementary was inspired to write a grant proposal that would allow students with disabilities to find representation as main characters or even superheroes in literature. Because of this grant, she was able to find numerous books on children, students & athletes who have achieved big things despite the challenges they may face. The Clarmont library now has books that include individuals with visual impairments, speech impediments, physical disabilities, autism, emotional disturbances, & more. These books will be introduced to students & teachers so that they may consider using them during morning meeting or circle time to promote the inclusivity of all students.

Let's highlight SEF teacher venture grants in action! The Tiny Hands, Big Skills Fine Motor Event was held this week at Providence Elementary. Representatives from the IU13 were in attendance along with the district occupational therapist. There was a presentation on fine motor skills, & families participated in fine motor station activities guided by teachers & staff. The IU13 representatives and OT were available to assist, answer questions, & provide guidance throughout the evening. Families went home with a bag full of fine-motor tools & a book about tying shoes.

The Solanco Education Foundation is proud to assist teachers in providing these over and above programs for students & our community.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and Solanco is proud to recognize the incredible administrative professionals throughout our district. Whether they’re working behind the scenes or greeting you at the front door, we are truly fortunate to have each of them as part of our team.
Their contributions go far beyond clerical work—they are problem-solvers, organizers, connectors, and often the calm in the middle of the busiest days.
