Hartford Green-Up Day is tomorrow, Saturday, May 2! Help clean up roadsides in Hartford and Quechee — grab some bags and make a difference in your community.

Bags are available now at Hartford Town Hall and Quechee Library, and also on Green-Up Day (8:30am–noon) at Town Hall and Quechee Green. Dumpsters at both locations April 29–May 4.

Tips: wear gloves, tuck pants into socks for tick protection, and watch for poison ivy.

And while you're out this way, we'd love to see you at the Quechee Gorge Visitor Center — we're not part of Green-Up Day, but it's a great excuse to explore the gorge! 🌿

Careful, ice!

We're just as excited as you are for spring and above-freezing weather. However, as any Vermonter knows, before spring is mud season, and early mud season is also ice season. It's not the flattering angle of our center, but we want to make sure that if you're hiking the trails for the next few weeks, you bring ice cleats and poles!
