Last night we received a tone for a grass fire at an industrial crosstie plant on FM 3129. Upon arrival of the first unit it was determined to be a pile of about 150 crossties on fire. Due to the wind and how volatile crossties burn the fire consumed roughly 15,000 crossties before containment was completed. The industrial plant keeps millions of ties on sight to use as fuel for the paper mill.
Thanks to everyone who came out. I wouldn’t be able to list them all ask it took over 10 agencies to contain this one.

At 5 A.M. this morning we were dispatched to a fire at the PUNJ truck stop in Domino. And thanks to all the mutual aid assistance that we received this morning if not for them this building wouldn’t be standing still.
If you want to be apart of helping a community we have meetings on Tuesday nights and are needing volunteers in a bad way.

Liberty Eylau Fire responded mutual aid to Cass County for a commercial fire at 5:12 AM.

Multiple Cass County FD ESDs, Atlanta FD and Texarkana FD are on scene in Domino at the PUNJ truck stop.

The 7 day burn ban has been lifted effective immediately.

Weather aware tomorrow we are under a burn ban so no outdoor burning anyways. But if you see smoke call 911 as a wildfire tomorrow might get out of hand.

Even with recent rainfall today is not the day to be burning outdoors. These conditions can cause very rapid growth of fires. If you see fire or smoke call 911.

59 southbound at the sulphur river will be moving slowly most of the morning as red river works to clean up a semi trailer fire we had.
