We are now under a burn ban. No outdoor burning will be allowed

🔥 **BURN BAN ISSUED FOR CASS COUNTY** 🔥

Effective immediately, Cass County is under a countywide burn ban for seven days. Conditions will be reevaluated before the order expires to determine whether an extension is necessary.

Please suspend all outdoor burning and avoid activities that could produce sparks near dry vegetation. The cooperation of every resident helps protect lives, property, and our volunteer firefighters.

Folks let me introduce you to the new CCESD2 and Lifenet post 70! This has been in construction for around a year with planning phase included. It has been built for us to expand our fire department into holding more full time fireman as it comes with all the amenities that a normal house has with 4 bedrooms two bathrooms and a kitchen and laundry room in both living quarters. The Bay Area has a mop closet and another bathroom. The most exciting part to us is not only is it housing our firefighters it’s also housing Lifenet Ems post 70 with a completely separate living quarters in the exact same layout!
This is all thanks to great teamwork from everyone involved from the community and board to the men and women who serve in this new home!
This station is also donated to our late board president Mr. Bo Buzbee who served us for 24 years as a board member!
Also we will be hosting an open house in the future to let the community come see the new fire house!

As we begin the month of August we need to be very cautious on outdoor burning as it will not take much for a control burn to get out of control.
As homeowners keep in mind to have a defensible space around your buildings of no burnable debris!

Recent weather conditions in the Four States Region have raised concerns about a phenomenon called flash drought and resultant wildfires. Link in comments.

Engine pending! Our chassis for our Type 3 engine has been delivered to the factory. This engine will assist us in wildfires as well as house fires! We will update pictures as soon as we get them!

We assisted linden on a tank battery fire caused a lighting strike!

The guy with the yellow rain jacket on holding the rope is our very own Captain Brandon Miller! Good job by all the guys involved on a successful water rescue!

Just a heads up to everyone. If it holds together there is another strong chance for heavy rainfall for our area around 8pm with the potential of thunderstorms as well.

As people are traveling to work we are seeing more of these main roads like 43 under water! If you don’t know it only a few inches of water to make a vehicle float so please turn around and do not drive through flooded roads.

As everyone is getting up and ready for work please prepare to leave early as your normal route maybe blocked by trees or flooded roads. We have received a significant amount of rain in a short period and serval county roads have already been reported as flooded over. Please remember TURN AROUND DON’T DROWN!

At 5 A.M. this morning we were dispatched to a fire at the PUNJ truck stop in Domino. And thanks to all the mutual aid assistance that we received this morning if not for them this building wouldn’t be standing still.
If you want to be apart of helping a community we have meetings on Tuesday nights and are needing volunteers in a bad way.

Liberty Eylau Fire responded mutual aid to Cass County for a commercial fire at 5:12 AM.

Multiple Cass County FD ESDs, Atlanta FD and Texarkana FD are on scene in Domino at the PUNJ truck stop.
