Residents living in San Tan Valley, Johnson Ranch, Anthem, Florence and Queen Creek now have the Johnson Community Library next to the Johnson Utilities Office located at 968 E. This neighborhood library opened to the public in March, 2011. Due to budget cuts, Pinal County had to scrap plans to build its’ planned library facility in San Tan Valley. George Johnson and the Johnson Family Foundation

stepped up to provide the building and outdoor patio complete with wi-fi, over 13,700 books, 500+ DVD’s, 10 computer stations and 7 laptops. The Foundation also pays the employees’ salaries and all operating costs. The library is open to the public free of charge. Operating hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 10 a. The library now has over 6000 library card holders. Arts & crafts and story time are available for children.
