Thank you to UWUA Local 1-2 for keeping the lights on throughout this historically hot summer. New York City has trusted Ravenswood for decades to keep the lights on during weather like this. As our city evolves to a future powered by green energy, we want to lead that transition. A will keep our city in trusted hands as we move to offshore wind, solar, and other renewable energies.

Ravenswood Generating Station is a central piece of the city's energy supply — primarily by burning natural gas and fuel oil. Gothamist toured the facility to learn about its new plan to go green.

As part of Renewable Ravenswood, we've announced the Queensboro Renewable Express plan. Our plan is driven by 2+ years of study on how to power NYC with clean offshore wind without disturbing local beaches. Queensboro will make it possible for Ravenswood to power over 2 million homes with clean energy.

Rise Light & Power has revealed its Queensboro Renewable Express (Queensboro) plan, an offshore wind transmission project that will bring renewable energy to Queens and replace existing fossil fuel generation.
