I wanted to say that I received an email today that we were named the 2023 runner up for the Transportation Corps Large Unit of the Year award. We won it in 2022 and now we are the runner up. Back to back awards. It is thanks to all the hard work and dedication of the Soldiers of the 1174th. Proud to be leading these fine troops.

Good morning 1174th team. As you celebrate today I want you to reflect on your life and see what you should be grateful for. If you are reading this message be thankful that you were awakened this morning (because some people did not wake up this morning), you are in you right mind, your health and your family. Life is too short and precious not to be grateful because it can be taken at any given minute. Please pass this message along to your family from mine to yours. Morning another award in the books. Congratulations to the Soldiers of the 1174th.

Afternoon Team,

I wanted to share some news with you. After winning the Trans Large Ubit of the Year award the COT(Chief of Transportable) submitted the 1174th for the NDTA(National Defense Transportation Association) Military Unit of the Year award and we won it. I just got notification today that we won and she submitted on our behalf. It’s a great time to be in the 1174th because our efforts are being recognized at the highest level. The TRANSCOM Commander will be presenting the awards to the winners. I will receive it at their annual summit in November at Orlando. Thank you for all you do and I continue to be proud to be your Commander.
