Just a friendly reminder to do the small, temporary improvement projects when and where you need to. I leaned a lot with the bungalow and I’m trying to apply that to the rectory now. This small amount of counter space is all I’ve got to work with and it was impossible to clean. So I covered it up with a $5 roll of contact paper! Good enough for now and meal prep is a lot less stressful.
[Image description: A straight-on shot of some white kitchen base cabinets and uppers. The countertops and backsplash are covered with blue and white tile-like contact paper. The design of the paper looks like old-world tiles with lots of different swirly patterns for each tile print. A small black dog in the foreground looks up at the counter expectantly, but she’s dreaming if she thinks she’s getting any treats right after dinner.]

At the top of the landing is a built-in that was pulled out of the original church and school. 🤤 It’s full of stuff, including many beautiful books in Latin (probably used for special masses). I’ve gone through a few things, but have yet to go through 99% of this stuff. Anyone want a video of me combing through it? Should this be a live or a reel series? I’m open to suggestions!

This giant piece of artwork came with the house and it has a little secret…🤫
The other side is a snowy scene! It’s reversible 😂. I must admit, in this heat I’m already planning for cozy weather and holiday decorating over here (too soon, I know). It’s a big house and I don’t think my 5 ft tree is going to cut it this year.

It’s a weirdly gloomy day today, so please enjoy this view of my sink (complete with clean dishes 🙌🏻) that I took on a less gloomy day.
