The forecast is saying we will see our first heatwave of the season this week. Beat the Heat using some of these tips. For indoor cooling options, the Kennedy Center, located at 400 E. Squantum St., will be open from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. The Thomas Crane Public Library's main branch, located at 40 Washington St., will be open Mon-Thurs from 9 am - 9 pm & on Fri from 9 am - 5 pm. Check their website for branch location hours at Thomas Crane Public Library.

The City of Quincy Emergency Management and Quincy Police Department were proud to assist the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), Concord MA Police Department, Concord MA Fire Department, and the National Parks Service in support of the Town of Concord annual Patriots Day Parade. Quincy Emergency Management provided a mobile command post for today’s parade.

A storm, with the potential for high winds and rain is forecasted for Thursday, April 4, 2024. The storms expected arrival will coincide with high tide at 7:40am. Due to the potential of a storm surge causing flooding, we want to give residents and commuters time to plan accordingly as we expect road closures in the following locations between 6:30am-8:30am:
