Over the course of the last week. GSAR Commander Nate Yarusso and his K9 Companion Bella have been going through training at the Florida Public Safety Institute here in Gadsden County. In addition to the training, members of the team, along with K9 Bella, also assisted with the search for Ronnie Jordan so for Commander Yarusso and Bella not only did they get the training, but also some real-life experience in tracking.

We are very excited to announce that both Commander Yarusso and K9 Bella completed their K9 Tracking Training Course. This is now another tool that we have to enhance our ability to serve the citizens of Gadsden County and other areas if requested.

Congratulations Commander Yarusso and Bella on this great accomplishment!!!

On land and sea
See flashing lights in a car, you pull over, right? Now when boaters see flashing lights they’re also required to slow down and safely “move over” to allow for emergency vessels to pass. The new law also states that boats must operate at slow speed, minimum wake, within 300 feet of any emergency vessel with emergency lights activated. More boating info: https://myfwc.com/boating/
