Air Evac Lifeteam 5 - Quincy, IL Air Evac 05 serves Quincy Illinois and the surrounding areas of Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. This base is CAMTS certified. That was in 1985.

Air Evac Lifeteam was established by a group of local citizens to provide air medical transportation and ensure access to emergency health care for their remote community in West Plains, in the Missouri Ozark region. Although air ambulances were primarily based in metropolitan areas at the time, the company founders believed that the people who needed air medical transport the most were those livi

ng in rural areas, often far away from a hospital. Today, Air Evac Lifeteam has grown to be the largest independently owned and operated membership-supported air ambulance service in the United States, operating more than 100 bases across 15 states.

They say that the crews that play together, stay together. Our flight crews are always training and they push each other to be better providers each and every day. Many of the Air Evac 5 crew came together to train at our quarterly training yesterday. They are pictured with our IL Medical Director, Dr. Huff and Regional educator Eric Bean.

Thanks to our friends at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, Ft. Madison Iowa for the call. We started in Illinois, picked up our patient in Iowa and ended up in Missouri. A long night but we love providing to those in need. We love being able to serve our patients and communities throughout the tri-state area.
