The last few months we have been stockpiling backpacks and school supplies at Interfaith Social Services' offices in Quincy, MA.

Today we distributed them to nearly 1,000 children.

Each year our team distributes backpacks full of school supplies to the children served by our food pantry. Back to school supplies can be very expensive, especially for a family who is struggling to provide food for their children. This is one way that we can ease the burden on those families, we can emphasize the importance of education and bring smiles to a lot of faces.

We are so grateful to all of the charitable local businesses who assembled many of these backpacks as well as countless caring individuals in our community who donated backpacks, supplies and funding to make this possible.

As with many things that we do here at Interfaith Social Services the smiles on these kids faces make all of our efforts worthwhile.

Three cheers for Roberta Ferguson-Gregg from our team who coordinated this amazing initiative.

THANK YOU to all of the donors that contributed to our summer fundraising appeal! A very generous anonymous donor will be matching $30,000.

These funds will help us expand food pantry capacity by allowing us to open our doors additional hours each day, with a goal of serving 25% more individuals and families by the end of our next fiscal year.

Your gifts are helping struggling families, seniors on fixed incomes, veterans, and hardworking people facing difficult choices between paying bills and buying groceries. Your donations will allow us to better serve every individual that turns to us for help.

There is still time to give. DONATE: https://interfaithsocialservices.org/?form=SUMMER

THANK YOU!

Support from local businesses is vital to Interfaith Social Services’ fight against hunger. Our annual Feed the Hungry Gala is the perfect opportunity to spotlight your business while making an impact in the community.

Today we thank two of our Hero Sponsors, Ceres Real Estate and Plymouth Quarries, LLC. Their sponsorships will each provide the equivalent of 700 bags of groceries to our food pantry clients. Thank you, Ceres and Plymouth Quarries!

Congratulations to Keohane Funeral Home, Interfaith Social Services' 2026 Community Partner of the Year! They were recognized at our recent Volunteer Appreciation event.

Interfaith’s partnership with Keohane spans multiple decades. Over the years, Keohane has initiated a program to ensure our food pantry has fresh, local produce (Plant.Grow.Share.); they have organized drives for our Bureau Drawer Thrift Shop; and they have sponsored our fundraising events. They continually put our community first and are truly committed to making a meaningful difference.

Knowing that Keohane is there and that we can count on them as volunteers, as advocates, and as a committed community partner is incredibly important as we work to keep pace with the growing need.

THANK YOU, Keohane!
