BOIL WATER NOTICE IS LIFTED!!!!!!

Preliminary results show an absence of bacterial contamination 👍🏻

🚨Update🚨 28jan2026

THE REPAIR HAS BEEN MADE!

At this time, pressure is holding in the system.

As of right now we are in the process of backfilling the location.

* I would ask that those with pressure in their homes currently *please* try to use water sparingly for the time being so that we can replenish the storage tank and get our neighbors that are up at the higher elevations back in service.

I will remain in the district for a while to keep a close watch on our storage levels.

If you notice a chlorine smell or elicited levels of chlorine in your water, be aware that is a standard preventative measure to avoid bacterial contamination that can sometimes occur with pressure loss.

And again* thank you all so much for your support and patience! This community and the residents here are amazing!

🚨 January 28 2026

We have the break fully exposed and we’re getting everything cut out and pieced back together!

Once the repair has been made, I will pressurize the system.

We have to hope the break that was found is the only culprit though 🤞🏻

Once I get pressure I will have to closely monitor the site then we’ll have to slowly refill the storage tanks. This takes time, as it is a staged process. The upper section of unit two will remain low pressure until the storage tank fills to a set height. At that time the pressure boosters will be engaged and provide the required pressure to the rest of the district.

**this is the best case scenario as it stands right now. I will of course continue to update as we get closer to the finish line.

And again, thank you all so much for your support and patience! It means more than you know!

🚨update🚨 January 27 2026

I hate to have to inform everyone, but the water service for those affected currently will not be restored until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest. We have had a very significant water main line burst.

I have an underground utility contracting company coming out right now to assess the heavy equipment needed for the repair and to inspect the location to tackle this situation as quickly and safely as possible for tomorrow morning.

Please spread the word to our neighbors and anyone who may be affected.

I am available by phone or email for any further questions.

And as always, I am so grateful to this community and our neighbors here for their assistance and support when situations like this arise. I have worked and lived in a lot of areas and I’ve come to know the people of this community as some of the nicest and patient folks around.

Thank you, and again I appreciate you and I apologize for the inconvenience that I know this causes.

🚨 UPDATE* 14may2025

so here’s where we are with the main break.

My team exhausted every effort we had and finally we did locate the isolation valves (with great assistance from mr. Carter for sugar pine buried under a lot of road. He was a great help and we are very lucky to have him in the district.

after closing the isolation valves as well as de-energizing our booster system for until 2, the main leak slowed significantly, but not enough.

This lead me to making the challenging decision to allow the main leak to continue through the evening instead of shutting down the distribution system for many many customers. This is a choice I am not making lightly, I am hopeful that it will not continue to worsen through the night. If this choice leads to a more serious problem with the main, then the choice to shut down the entire unit will be the only option.

I have been in contact with a local contractor that is attempting to move his schedule around to bring some excavation equipment out tomorrow morning and help with the repair.

At this time, let’s not concentrate on the initial cause or place blame, as our main concern is repairing the damaged infrastructure.

Thank you all so much for keeping me informed as quickly as you do!

I will be here first thing in the morning to assess the overnight performance of the water in the road!

🚨We have a very serious water main break on sugar pine trail.

My son and I will be out looking for buried isolation valves in hopes that we can avoid a full shut off situation.

I have no access to excavation equipment at this very moment. I’m working on getting in contact with some local contractors.

At the moment, our wells can keep up with the demand, but leaving the water running is a risk to the integrity of the break. At the moment it could hold, or it could become much much worse.

With the equipment that I saw at the top of sugar pine, I’m assuming the compactor/roller that’s staged is most likely the culprit, as our water mains are not very deep. This is most likely the result of the recent road work done in the district.

I will keep the district updated as I can.

Please try to avoid the area with any vehicles to avoid potentially damaging the main further, and of course the potential for personal harm while in search for the valves.

Thank you! 🙏🏻

🚨UPDATE🚨 24april2025

We’ve got the water main fully exposed, the crew is heading to town to grab a few items needed for the repair.

I apologize for the inconvenience this causes, we are working quickly to resolve the situation!

🚨
Just a reminder! The csd and Folchi construction will be working on a water main repair on buckhorn circle this morning. Please try to avoid the area if at all possible!

I will try to keep the page and the messenger group updated as we go.

We will be excavating live this morning to avoid water service interruption for as long as possible!

Thank you!

GOOD NEWS! 🚨 APRIL 22 2025

Our leak is not a major emergency as of yet!

We’ve definitely got some water coming up im the road from what is probably a small crack or damaged section in the main on buckhorn circle. But it’s not unmanageable at the moment.

I’ll take some time to try to find isolation valves if possible to avoid having to turn off the water like we did last week.

If I could ask the public to try to avoid the area at the end of buckhorn circle in any vehicles/atv’s/equipment I would very much appreciate it! As they have the tendency to put undue strain and weight on existing cracks or breaks and potentially compound the issue.

I will keep the page as well as the messenger chat updated!

Thank you all very much and thank you for the support!

***UPDATE****

I have already scheduled this repair with one of my contractors for this Thursday being that this is a water main repair. Unfortunately due to its location in reference to the supply tank, there is no isolation valve to cut off just buckhorn circle. So on Thursday, about mid-morning, I will have to shut down the same system that we’ve done in the past. Fortunately for us it should be a very straightforward operation. If we can spread the word that on *THURSDAY APRIL 24th* we’ll be shutting down the pressure for the repair!

I will continue to keep everyone updated!

Again, thank you to everyone for your extremely fast communcation with letting me know about the issues you find and your understanding in the process of repairs!! 🙏🏻

Good afternoon!!!

I wanted to put out a heads up, we have a small water leak in the district, we’ll have some personnel out repairing the issue. We don’t anticipate loss of water pressure to the system, but in case that happens we wanted to put it out there so nobody worries!

Hopefully this will be resolved quickly and without incident!

Thank you all!!

Good afternoon! Both repairs, red bluff & shooting star, are complete. Thank you all for your support and patience!
