ENC’s traditional undergraduate students (500+) will benefit from this membership. A number of classes, including First Year Experience and Arts and Music, require students to visit the museum. Susan Watkins retired from 42 years as Director of Library Services at the end of the 15-16 academic year. Her faithful leadership, extensive knowledge, and commitment to the library will be missed, and we wish her well as she begins a new chapter in her life.

Erin McCoy has resigned her position as Librarian for Instruction and Digital Media, effective July 14th. We have appreciated her 10 years with us as a library research instructor, reference assistant, library website/LibGuides creator and manager, social media expert, and archives administrator. She has accepted a position as Reference and Instruction Librarian at Massasoit Community College. While it is hard to say goodbye, we trust God will continue to use her as she ministers to students, faculty, and staff in her new position.

We celebrate with Susan Watkins and are grateful for her many years of faithful service to ENC and Nease Library.

June 30th marked the final official day of work for Susan Watkins, Director of Library Services at Eastern Nazarene College (ENC). Susan served ENC for 42 years and was instrumental in advocating for a new library building in 1992, automating the library in 1994, and joining the Old Colony Library Network in 2002. Upon retirement, she was awarded Emeritus Faculty status during Commencement Weekend and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Christian Librarians at their annual conference on June 16th.

She will be honored at a Retirement Celebration in Nease Library at Homecoming, on Sunday October 16th, 12:30pm.
