July 26th 7am - 10am Pancake Breakfast at 505 Lawrence Street in Quincy, CA. This is an annual fundraiser for Quincy Volunteer Fire Department and great event right before the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade passes by through downtown.

JUST ANNOUNCED

The Plumas National Forest is entering Stage I Fire Restrictions on Thursday, July 10, based on increased fire danger rating and fire behavior indices, combined with drying fuels.



Despite average snowpack, early season hot temperatures melted snowpack faster than expected. Periods of hotter than average temperatures are forecasted to continue in the area, further drying fuels and increasing fire danger.



In Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, campfires are only allowed in specific designated recreation sites, in established campfire rings. Sites are listed in Exhibit A of the closure order.



Smoking is only allowed within an enclosed vehicle or building, in one of the designated recreation sites listed in Exhibit A, or an area at least 3 feet in diameter that is completely clear of all flammable material.



Additionally, internal combustion engines, such as vehicles and generators, may only be used on designated roads and trails.

For the second year in a row the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department is the dodgeball tournament champion. Thank you to QHS leadership for hosting this fundraiser. We look forward to playing next year.

Yesterday Quincy Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a fuel truck on fire. Upon arrive it was discovered that the fuel truck had a brake fire on it's trailer.
