Hello Breakers! 🌊 What does being present look like to you?

Principal Ahearn and staff are kicking off the Presence Matters campaign at Broad Meadows by putting their phones down to spend time walking dogs, hiking, hitting the playground, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Our teachers and staff are sharing what being present looks like for them, and challenging you to do the same when school starts back up in September.

As students return to Quincy Public Schools for the 2026-2027 year, we want everyone, staff and students alike, to be present in everything they do.

At North Quincy, Principal Gilbert is sharing all the activities we used to love before phones became part of every school day. Try something new.

Miss P, our health and wellness teacher, shares easy ways to be present this year: greet your teachers, chat with friends at lunch, ask a question in class, stop by a former teacher's room to say hi, start a conversation with someone new, or make plans to hang out after school. Two weeks from today - Pops Concert on the Common on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. at the Hancock-Adams Common celebrating America 250.

The concert program will feature selections in collaboration with the Quincy Choral Society.

Principal Schneller and the Atlantic staff have been spending their summer putting their phones down and making time to be present with family, friends, and the world around them.
