Grand Opening of New Quincy YMCA 24/7
Community celebration to begin at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 17
QUINCY, Fla. — The YMCA of the Georgia Sunbelt will celebrate the grand opening of the
new Quincy YMCA 24/7 on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The celebration will take
place at the new branch, located at 107 W. Jefferson St. in downtown Quincy.
The new Quincy YMCA 24/7 will provide area residents with convenient access to fitness and
wellness resources while creating a welcoming place for community connection. The facility is
located in the former Massey Pharmacy building, bringing new life and purpose to a familiar
downtown property.
“We are excited to open the doors of the Quincy YMCA 24/7 and become part of this wonderful
community,” said Rich Gallagher, president and CEO of the YMCA of the Georgia Sunbelt.
“This new branch represents an investment in the health and well-being of Quincy. We look
forward to providing a welcoming environment where people can pursue their wellness goals,
connect with their neighbors and build a stronger community together.”
Community members, local leaders, business owners and members of the media are invited to
attend the grand opening celebration and learn more about the new branch.

COMMISSION MEETING NOTICE
City Commission Budget Workshop
Date: Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Time: 6:00 p.m.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that immediately following the Technology Distribution and Testing Workshop, the City Commission will hold a Budget Workshop for the purpose of discussing the City's budget. The Commission may also conduct any other business properly brought before it.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing special accommodation to participate in this meeting should contact the City Clerk's office at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, they will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, pursuant to Florida Statute 286.0105.
