Broad Meadows Middle School has recently launched the Food Waste Separation Program, becoming the fourth school in the Quincy Public School System to implement this environmentally friendly initiative for sorting waste. The program successfully diverts an average of 100 pounds of food scraps and compostable materials from the trash each day. These materials are collected from the school and transformed into compost.
